Thanks for reporting on those Jake. We’re working on a new website and since 99.3% of our pageviews are on the iPhone version, we haven’t been spending as much time as perhaps we should keeping the desktop version clean.

I’ll schedule some time to sort them out but in the meantime, just use your iPhone/iPod :)

Noticed a couple of issues when logging into the website:

1. When you click on the ‘My Profile’ section, the information is displayed within two curly brackets.

2. When clicking on the ‘My Team’ section, only two curly brackets are displayed.

I don’t know if a problem I have is related but thought I would report it anyway!

1. Nearly every time I start a match, I cannot tap on the ‘Tap to continue box’ – I have to wait until this goes away before I can start the game. If that happens, then I can never play the first shot of the innings – I always end up ‘leaving the ball’.

2. For most of the longer matches (eg 10 or 20 overs), I find that the game hangs at the final dialogue box which says ‘Victory’ or ‘Defeat’ and I cannot continue to see the scorecard etc. The short matches seem to be fine.

However, just wanted to say that it was great to see that the scores are being submitted now – I had stopped playing the game because I couldn’t see how I was rating against everyone else!!

I found this thread about run outs (https://cricket.spinfast.com.au/forum/thread/194) and the wrong batsmen being given out, but I’m experiencing the issue with catches.

So far I’ve found that when no runs are attempted it works correctly (that’d be a pretty obvious bug), and when an even number of runs are attempted it works too. When the non-striker is running towards the batting end, he is given out instead. Thus I figure it’s giving out whoever is running to the striker’s end.

I’m having the same issue, but I’m also having trouble getting a diagnostic report through. How long should it take for one to send? (I realise it depends on the network, so just a rule of thumb)

I’m having the same issue. It’s interesting that it only came up once I’d removed and reinstalled when trying to fix the lag bug and the bowling freezing bugs.

Does that mean it’s a problem with fresh installs and not updates?

Yes, and 3 over target is always 14!

In the updated version the target for batting only is always 49. It used to change according to my score in the previous game.

Can this be fixed please.

The iPad upgrade keeps getting stuck when either the batting or bowling has ended.

Just wanted to leave a status update; we’re still waiting for Apple.

Thanks for reporting this Rush, we’ve got your diagnostic and are looking at the problem.

We’ve also now introduced a new Diagnostics system. If you encounter a repeatable problem, please go into Options, Advanced Options and turn on Diagnostics. Then after the problem occurs again, go back into the same menu and upload the diagnostic.

This will make it much easier for us to find and fix problems that only happen on some edge cases. We have a large variety of devices here to test the with but some problems simply don’t show themselves on our hardware.

After I have updated the game to the new version I’m encountering the following problem:
10 overs match i’m batting first, then bowling. When I take the last wicket the game is stuck at the bowled screen.

I have restarted the iphone and reinstalled the game but no luck.
I tried one over match, which works fine.

Also of note, the problem is sometimes improved by launching the game, waiting until you are in the main menu then pressing the home button on the device (the circle square) to quit, then immediately running the game again. It doesn’t always work but it might help you get your Cricket fix while we wait for Apple.

For those of you that are experiencing a delay between making a gesture and playing the shot, we have fixed the problem and are waiting for Apple to roll it out to you.

Thanks to two players that reported the problem on Thursday and used our new diagnostic system, we were able to work on the problem straight away. It took some time but by 6am Friday morning we had solved the problem and uploaded a fix to Apple.

We have no control over when the new version will be rolled out to you however; we just have to wait for Apple to get around to it. Hopefully they won’t keep us all waiting too long!

If you are experiencing this problem, we appologise. We do have a very rigorous testing process that all of our new version go through but unfortunately this problem did not show itself on any of our test devices. We will be investigating how we might have caught this problem next week and will update our testing efforts accordingly.

Thanks Yozzi. We heard that some players were having the problem on Thursday and worked through the night to find a fix. It was uploaded to Apple Friday morning, so hopefully it will be approved soon.

Before everyone tells me to read the troubleshooting section, I have. I’ve rebooted, deleted, reinstalled, turned advanced graphics off, everything. I’ve tried to send diagnostics but it stalls there as well. Finally got one to go through. The main issue is, lag time. I have a 3Gs on ios4.0, with no other apps running except phone and email. Making a bating stroke is close to impossible most times. I was almost ready to throw my phone at the wall because of this stupid game. Either a stroke is not registered at all or it’s played several seconds behind. Why? Before the update it was just playable on 4.0, now it’s very very frustrating. Is this what we deserve? If you read the reviews on iTunes appstore you’d see plenty with this problem. They should come here and add to the chorus. So where to from here? Do I just give up and say goodbye to the game and my money?

I have now got the new version it now successfully loads and goes to the main menu however!!!!!!! Everything is late. When you click on play it does it like 20 seconds after you press it. This is also what happens during game play. So it is impossible to hit the ball (which goes normal speed) as the batting reactions is too late. This company needs to sort this game out. I have wasted my money as the game is impossible to play!!!!!!!!
