It’s almost here!

When we started work on our Cricket update we had no idea where it would take us. Of course we had features mapped out. We knew we wanted to add a bowling option. We also knew that we wanted to make each team feel a little more individual and true to life. We didn’t quite know what an odyssey we had begun.

We’re getting very close indeed on the next version of Cricket and can start to talk about a couple of the new features. This is a major upgrade that touches pretty much every area of the code, so get ready for some big improvements.

In this release we have concentrated on more technical issues, preparing for some fancy new features. Specifically, several performance improvements should have your game running smoother and a dramatic reduction in memory usage means you will see the memory warning screen less often.

Just to keep everyone up-to-date, Cricket V1.2 has been submitted to Apple for a week now, we’re expecting approval any day now and the upgrade will become available as soon as Apple have finished playing with it.

Oh – and just further to this, when you select other pages in the forums, the little number list down the bottom stays on Page 1 – so you can’t navigate back to page-one on screen. You have to hit the back button, or navigate back to the main forum page.
