Cricket thumps world-class competition
Perth, Australia — February 4, 2009 — Western Australian developer Spinfast has ended the State's drought of commercial game releases, with its début title climbing to number 2 on the Australian iTunes Store top games chart.
Here, Spinfast Cricket sits behind only Electronic Art's edition of the Milton Bradley classic Monopoly.
Even more impressive is the fact that Spinfast Cricket comes in only one place lower on the "Top Paid Applications", sitting at number 3 on the Australian store.
Spinfast founder Robert Spencer says: "The response to our first title has been wonderful. We knew that Cricket would be reasonably popular with an Australian audience but we never dreamed we would be competing head-to-head with such powerful brands with the game only released a month ago. We're not resting though: we've just uploaded a new version to Apple with new features and even better gameplay.
"We're hoping that our continual support of our customers and the constant upgrades to the game will be rewarded with an extra sales spurt that will push us past the final hurdle and into the #1 spot".
